Terms of Service

Version: terms-2026-07-12

The short version ๐Ÿ‰

Be kind, play fair, and have fun. A grown-up owns the account, dragons and gems are game treasures (not real money), and we work hard to keep the Academy safe and running.

Accounts

Playing does not require an account. Optional cloud-save accounts are created and owned by a parent or guardian, who confirms consent during signup โ€” children cannot register by themselves. An account is a made-up nickname and a password; no email address is collected. You are responsible for keeping the password and the one-time recovery "dragon code" safe. Parents can delete the account and all its data at any time from Settings.

Acceptable use

Use Dragon Academy for what it is: a learning game. Do not try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, cheat other players, or use the game for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or other players.

Purchases & subscription

The Family Plan is billed as a recurring subscription ($9.99 USD per month after a 14-day free trial) and renews automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the period already paid. We will give reasonable advance notice before any price change, and a change never applies to a period you have already paid for. Cancellation and refunds are described in the refund policy, which is part of these terms.

Virtual items

Gems, diamonds, dragons, skins and every other in-game item are virtual game content. They have no monetary value, cannot be cashed out, sold or transferred outside the game, and may be adjusted for game-balance reasons. Losing access to an account (for example, deleting it) also removes its virtual items.

Availability & changes to the game

Dragon Academy is a living game: features may be added, changed, paused or retired as it evolves. We aim for the service to be available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Your local save keeps working offline.

Warranty & liability

The game is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or affects consumers' statutory rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in (including, for EU/UK residents, your statutory rights).

Changes to these terms

When these terms change materially we bump the version above and, for subscribers, give notice inside the game before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the game after that means the new terms apply.
